Shifting Emphasis in the SEO World
Things are changing ever-so-subtly in the search engine optimization world! Not so long ago, all there was to SEO was a few paragraphs of well written optimized text, which meant and still means relevant content that contains your chosen keywords, plus a little judicious optimization of the page's code, which usually meant META tags and links.
Now, arguably, your links are the most important thing you have going for you--and then again maybe not. But you also need to pay close attention to the design of your site. CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets, wins hands down when it comes to pleasing the search engines. And if you can get most of your code into external files, which usually means your CSS style sheets and your Javascript code, then you'll also be putting yourself at an advantage.
