Freelance Writers Manifesto

If you're a writer you'll surely have noticed that a great proportion of the jobs you see advertised online don't seem to give us writers the respect we deserve. Rates are abysmal in some areas.

Along with several other writers, I've noticed this and feel very concerned about it. Not for myself, as I now charge a healthy rate and get paid well for what I do. But for all those writers who are too timid to tell a prospective hirer: "Hey, this is nowhere near enough. If you want me to work for you, you need to pay me more!"

So, we decided to change our little corner of the world. To this end, Freelance Writers Manifesto was born, sometime in the past few weeks. I gotta tell you, I've been so busy that the exact moment of birth has been, sadly, lost to posterity for ever!
